Economist and trader Alex Kruger said that after the spot Bitcoin ETF is approved in January 2024, Bitcoin may no longer follow the traditional four-year halving cycle, but enter a new super cycle. Kruger believes that the launch of the ETF will attract a large amount of capital inflows, making the correlation between Bitcoin and risky assets more stable, changing the traditional market cycle.
He pointed out that although the super cycle does not mean that Bitcoin prices will only rise, it means that Bitcoin's adjustment cycle will be shorter and the decline will be smaller. If the stock market and the economy remain in good shape, Bitcoin's callback will be more moderate.
Although Bitcoin is currently about 10% lower than the expected high in 2025, Kruger is still optimistic about its future upside potential and believes that Bitcoin still has a lot of room to go before the peak of the cycle.
