US Companies Become Leaders in Bitcoin Reserves

CryptoQuant data shows that the share of Bitcoin assets owned by US companies has reached a new all-time high, exceeding the reserves of foreign corporate BTC holders by 65%.

According to CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju, their calculations compared data from US firms, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), exchanges, and miners with the holdings of organizations outside the US.

The share of US Bitcoin reserves has been growing throughout the past year, from 1.14 in September to 1.66 as of December 16, 2024. On December 6, 2025, the ratio was 1.65. Interestingly, foreign organizations have remained in the lead for almost the entire 2023.

Eight of the 10 largest corporate BTC holders are based in the US. In the global ranking, only two foreign companies are located - Canadian Hut 8 Corp and Hive Digital.
