On the night of December 16, the world's largest and most famous cryptocurrency reached $106,533, and as of 9:30 Kyiv time, bitcoin was trading at $105,180 (+3.41%). Meanwhile, the second-largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum, rose 3.34% to $3,974.

An additional boost for investors was the inclusion of MicroStrategy in the Nasdaq 100 technology index. This could lead to increased investment in the company, which is focused on acquiring bitcoins.

“We’re going to do something big for crypto because we don’t want China or anyone else, not just China, to take over this area. We want to be ahead of the curve,” Trump said in an interview with CNBC.

Asked about the possibility of creating a cryptocurrency reserve, Trump replied, “Yes, I think it’s possible.”
