Deep Tide TechFlow News, on January 9, according to Cointelegraph, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced in Bangalore that the company will invest $3 billion in India over the next two years to expand its cloud computing and AI business, marking the largest investment the company has made in India.
Microsoft is collaborating with the Indian government's AI initiative INDIAai, aiming to train 500,000 people in AI skills by 2026 and 10 million people in cloud computing and AI skills by 2030.
It is noteworthy that Microsoft has established strategic partnerships with several Indian companies such as RailTel and Apollo Hospitals, and will provide Azure credits, business resources, and mentoring services for 1,000 AI startups through the Founders Hub program. Since 2024, Microsoft has trained 2.4 million people in India and is building the 'AI Catalysts' project to foster AI innovation in smaller cities.
