PANews reported on January 9 that according to PeckShieldAlert monitoring, cryptocurrency-related hacking activities have rebounded significantly in 2024, with total losses for the year exceeding US$3.01 billion, an increase of approximately 15% compared to US$2.61 billion in 2023. Among them, hacker attacks caused losses of US$2.15 billion, and fraudulent activities caused losses of US$834.5 million. Notably, approximately $488.5 million in stolen crypto assets has been recovered.
