ChainCatcher news: According to Bloomberg, senior EU digital officials promised to "actively" advance the investigation of X platform (formerly Twitter) to determine whether it violated the Digital Services Act.
The law aims to combat illegal and harmful content, and the focus of the investigation includes whether X platform promotes far-right political content through algorithms. If the violation is confirmed, X platform may be fined up to 6% of its global annual revenue. The European Commission said it will reach a conclusion in accordance with the law as soon as possible.
