According to ChainCatcher, OKLink has released its 2024 Security Annual Report. The total losses caused by security incidents on the entire network chain are about 1.945 billion US dollars. The losses caused by private key leakage have decreased by 65.45% compared with 2023, with losses of about 305 million US dollars, accounting for 16% of the total losses. Among them, phishing scams caused losses of 705 million US dollars, accounting for 36% of the total losses. The REKT incident and the RugPull incident caused losses of 383 million US dollars and 141 million US dollars respectively.
Mainstream public chains are still the main targets of hacker attacks, with losses of BTC, ETH, ARB and other mainstream public chains reaching US$744 million, US$902 million and US$228 million respectively. In 2024, OKLink continued to provide core technical support to more than 120 prefecture-level units, successfully assisted in handling more than 300 cases, with a total amount of funds involved of approximately US$685 million.
