PANews January 6 news, Bitcoin mining company Core Scientific announced its operational and production data for December 2024, reporting an annual mining output of 6,595 bitcoins (BTC), with a fourth-quarter output of 974 BTC. In December alone, self-operated mining machines mined 291 BTC, while hosted machines contributed 18 BTC. By the end of 2024, the company operated approximately 171,000 Bitcoin mining machines in its data centers, with a total hash rate of 20.1 EH/s, of which self-operated machines accounted for 96%. In addition, the company has repeatedly reduced electricity consumption through grid support measures, delivering 30,985 megawatt-hours of electricity to the local grid.
