Odaily Planet Daily News OpenAI CEO Sam Altman issued a stern criticism of the board members who suddenly fired him in late November last year. "I feel like the people who truly harmed me and the company are gone, and now I have to clean up their mess," he said in a wide-ranging interview. According to Altman, the board quickly changed direction under pressure, at which point Altman agreed to return only after the entire board resigned. Twitch co-founder Emmett Shear was briefly appointed as OpenAI's CEO, catching Altman off guard. "At that moment, I thought, 'Okay, I'm really done now,' because that was a real deception," he said. The interview also revealed other interesting news about OpenAI's past and future, such as the company once considering charging $42 per month for ChatGPT, and OpenAI plans to disclose more information about its chip plans this year.
