According to Deep Tide TechFlow news on January 4th, as reported by Cointelegraph, Solana developers announced the launch of a quantum-resistant vault (Solana Winternitz Vault), which implements a hash-based signature system to fend off potential threats from quantum computers.

Zeus Network Chief Scientist Dean Little explained that the program enhances security by generating new keys for each transaction. Currently, this feature is offered as an option, and users must proactively deposit funds into the Winternitz Vault to obtain quantum protection. The solution uses the Keccak256 Merkle root algorithm to achieve secure fund transfers through a split vault mechanism.

Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin previously stated that quantum computers will not pose a significant threat to cryptocurrencies for at least the next decade.
