According to data from the on-chain analysis platform Dropstab, the crypto industry issued a total of $14.91 billion in tokens to users through airdrop activities in 2024. Hyperliquid topped the list with an airdrop amount of $1.34 billion, attracting over 90,000 users. Following closely is Starknet, which distributed tokens worth $1.33 billion to 1.3 million addresses. Other well-known projects such as Pengu, Wormhole, and Jupiter also ranked high on the airdrop revenue list.
Of the $14.91 billion, the L2 sector contributed $4.22 billion, accounting for 28.3%; the DeFi sector followed closely, distributing $3.31 billion. The L1 sector, gaming and memes, liquid staking, and AI projects also contributed significant airdrop amounts. This data provides us with deep insights into market dynamics.
