Introduction and evaluation of the Best Web3 Game Award winners

The above award-winning chain games have been introduced and reviewed by (GAM3.GG), summarized as follows:

1. Best Game of the Year, Shooter, Action, and Multiplayer Game: (Off the Grid)

(Off the Grid), directed by Neill Blomkamp of (District 9) and (Elysium), is a chaotic battle royale game. The game combines stunning visuals with rich narrative content, perfectly blending tactical shooting, survival, and exploration elements.

(Off the Grid) has launched an early access version, offering a 60-player battle mode where players can compete in teams of three. The game's features include an innovative 'cybernetic' system that allows players to customize different leg and arm attachments, each with unique abilities.

Although it is currently only in early access and still has some optimization issues, the game's overall performance and potential have received unanimous recognition from the reviewers.

2. Most Anticipated Game: (MapleStory N)

Developed by NEXON subsidiary Nexpace, the MapleStory Universe game (MapleStory N) inherits the classic 2D art style and game features of (New MapleStory).

The game retains core gameplay elements like endless monster hunting, class systems, and guild social interactions while adding an NFT system. The story revolves around finding the heroes of MapleStory, and players can choose different class development paths.

(MapleStory N) integrates a gas-free NFT minting system and introduces limited item releases, removing the cash shop (shopping store) economic system, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the game world for free. The game is expected to launch in the first half of 2025.

3. Best Strategy eSports, Card Game: (Parallel)

(Parallel) is created by a team with experience in developing multiple AAA games; it is a trading card game (TCG) with NFTs.

The game is set in a world after humanity has caused a disaster due to over-exploitation of Earth's resources, where five civilizations return to Earth after ten thousand years to fight for their homeland.

(Parallel) has received praise for its exquisite card design and deep strategy. Each card features voice acting and carefully designed animation effects, and the combat system is well-balanced, providing players with a rich strategic choice space.

4. Best Casual Game, Player's Choice: (Pixels)

(Pixels) is a pixel-style farming management game with over 900,000 players, adopting a free-to-play model, allowing players to own their land and farm. The game development team includes developers from well-known game companies such as Gamehouse and Ubisoft.

The main gameplay of the game involves collecting resources, farming, and crafting items, with players able to farm on other players' lands through a shared farming mechanism, allowing landowners to earn resource shares. The game's pixel art and sound effects are at a certain level, but the beginner guidance system still has room for improvement.

5. Best Web, Full Chain Game: (Pirate Nation)

(Pirate Nation) is a web game themed around pirates, where players need to control an island and recruit pirate crew members. The game is entirely built on the blockchain, using an innovative gas-free transaction system that makes game interactions fast and smooth.

The game art adopts a pixel style, allowing players to accept challenges through a mission board to earn rewards, build their own ships, and participate in sea adventures. The game also includes a world event system, such as monster attacks, allowing players to cooperate against a common threat.

6. Best Fighting Game: (Champions Ascension)

The story of (Champions Ascension) is set in the Massina theme park metaverse, where the heroes come from different worlds to fight for dominance in the Eternal Arena. The game is currently in the testing phase, offering a rich system of mini-games and PvP arena battles.

The game includes various interesting mini-games, such as crab racing and dice battles. The arena battle system is well-designed, with interactions among characters from different backgrounds that add strategic depth to the combat.

7. Best RPG Game: (Big Time)

(Big Time) is a multiplayer cooperative RPG that combines fast-paced action combat, NFT collectible elements, and a historical adventure story. The game's feature emphasizes teaming up with friends to explore procedurally generated dungeons together.

The game offers a rich NFT loot experience, but the distribution mechanism is somewhat random. Players can expand and personalize their bases through a time machine system, while the SPACE NFT system provides rich game functionality and utility.

Although the monster spawning process in the game feels somewhat repetitive, it has created a more complete multiplayer cooperative RPG experience for Web3 games.

8. Best Game Developer's Choice Award: (Wildcard)

(Wildcard) is a 1v1 competitive game where players need to use their deck-building skills and in-game abilities to defeat their opponents. The game is currently in testing, offering two selectable heroes: the nature-themed Bolgar & Burr, and the tech-style Locke with his robotic dog Wotchy.

The game's visual effects and mechanics are outstanding, with each hero having unique skills and summon combinations. The development team revealed that they will introduce a 2v2 mode and innovative features like audience interaction in the future.

9. Best Sports Game: (Sparkball)

(Sparkball) (formerly Edenbrawl) is a MOBA-type sports game that has completely redesigned its UI and art style, transforming the originally dark world into a bright and lively arena. The game employs a top-down perspective and pits 5-person teams against each other, with the main objective of seizing possession of the ball and scoring in the opponent's end zone.

The game features 8 unique hero characters, each with its own skills, and the NFT system does not affect game balance, primarily serving for collection and display in the community.

10. Best Adventure Game: Ravenquest

(Ravenquest) is a highly free MMORPG that uses a unique class system, allowing players to choose 3 combinations from 8 prototypes, creating 56 different class combinations.

The game offers 10 professional skills, including forging, woodworking, and weaving, forming a complete player-driven economy system. Through the NFT system, players can own in-game assets such as estates, mounts, and ships.

11. Best Mobile Game: (Fableborne)

(Fableborne) is a mobile game that combines base building and raiding gameplay, where players need to strategically place defense towers and monsters to protect their islands while choosing three heroes for raiding battles.

The game's feature lies in the randomly generated island terrain affecting defense difficulty, with rich upgrade options for tower defense and hero systems. Although there are some balance issues at higher levels, overall it provides a deep strategic experience for mobile players.

12. Best Art Design: (Moonfrost)

(Moonfrost) is a simulation game similar to (Harvest Moon) and (Stardew Valley), where the core gameplay involves taking care of a farm and growing better crops, also offering multiple customization options for players to decorate their farm. Of course, players looking to earn money can also enjoy the fun of farming to earn in-game tokens.

(Moonfrost) excels in art design and sound performance. Even with a pixel art style, the detailed environments enhance the overall feel of the game.
