Binance has announced that it will be making significant changes to tokens carrying the Tracking Tag and Seed Tag as of January 2, 2025. These adjustments are being made as part of Binance’s strategic review process, which continuously evaluates the performance, risks, and reliability of projects on the platform.
Tokens to be added with the Tracking Tag:
StormX (STMX): Known in the crypto world for its microtasks and shopping rewards, StormX has been placed under the Watch Label due to its high volatility and risk factors.
TROY (TROY): Offering advanced broker solutions, TROY is similarly included in the Watch Tag list.
Tokens to be Extracted from the Tracking Tag:
Convex Finance (CVX): Convex Finance, which provides staking solutions to DeFi users, will no longer carry a Tracking Tag.
Sun (SUN): Part of the TRON ecosystem, SUN is being delisted because it does not meet Binance’s Watch Label criteria.
Tokens to be Extracted from the Seed Tag:
Arkham (ARKM): Arkham, a pioneer in crypto intelligence, will no longer carry the early-stage tag.
Blur (BLUR): The token of the Blur platform, which focuses on NFT trading, is being removed from the Seed Tag as it has completed its development phase.
Jito (JTO): Known for its liquidity solutions in the Solana ecosystem, Jito will not carry a Seed Label.
Celestia (TIA): Celestia, which draws attention with its modular blockchain infrastructure, no longer carries a Seed Tag.
Monitoring Tag: Tokens with this tag carry higher volatility and risk than others. Binance reviews these tokens on a regular basis and risks removing those that do not meet the criteria from the platform.
Seed Tag: This tag indicates that projects are in their early stages and investors should act accordingly. Removal of the Seed Tag indicates that the project has reached a significant stage of development.
Binance’s Review Criteria: Binance makes labeling decisions based on the following factors:
Team Commitment: How committed the project's team is to the project.
Development Activities: The levels and quality of development work in the project.
Liquidity and Volume: The trading volume and market liquidity of the token.
Security: Security of the network and reliability of smart contracts.
Communication and Transparency: How actively the project communicates with the community.
Ethical Standards: Whether there is unethical behavior in projects.
Ecosystem Contribution: The project's contributions to the crypto world.
Users who wish to trade tokens carrying a Tracking Tag or Seed Tag must undergo a risk awareness test on the Binance Spot or Margin platforms every 90 days. This test is implemented to ensure that users understand the risks before trading such tokens.
