Bithumb Lists Peaq and Valve
Bithumb, South Korea’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced that it will list Peaq and Vana tokens in KRW pairs as of January 2. This development offers investors the opportunity to trade the tokens in exchange for Korean won. PEAQ started trading on the exchange with a starting price of 853 KRW, while VANA started trading at a price of 23,730 KRW. The statement said that deposits for both tokens began three hours after the announcement, and trading became active at 16:00 KST. Bithumb only allowed deposits via local networks to ensure transaction security.
Bithumb also implemented certain restrictions during the first hours of trading to improve the user experience. Buy orders were limited for the first five minutes, while sell orders traded between -10% and +100% of the starting price. Traders were able to start using automated trading tools after completing their first trade.
PEAQ rose 35% to $0.715, coming very close to reaching its historic high. The price, which fell to $0.522 during the day, rose to $0.72. PEAQ’s total market value reached $463 million, while its 24-hour trading volume was $55.56 million. PEAQ powers core functions such as governance, transaction fees, and staking within the decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN).
According to DigitalCoinPrice data, the average price of PEAQ is predicted to be $1.49 for 2025, while it is estimated that it could rise to $3.67 by 2030. PEAQ, which is not yet listed on major exchanges such as Binance, is thought to experience a serious price increase when included on such platforms.
Vana Network stands out as a Layer 1 blockchain that offers solutions for decentralized data sharing and data ownership through DataDAOs. The VANA token price increased by 10% to $17.62. The lowest price during the day was $15.41, and the highest price was $17.83. VANA's market value has reached $528 million, and its transaction volume has reached $169 million. It is predicted that the VANA price could reach $34 by 2025 and $85 by 2030.
The recently listed DeBridge (DBR) token on Bithumb also rose by 30% to reach an all-time high. Tokens traded in KRW pairs usually experience a price increase after listing. Analysts emphasize that this situation can translate into more permanent value gains with increased usage and adoption rates.
