Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson has reiterated his commitment to the platform’s original roadmap as the ADA blockchain ecosystem steps into the Voltaire Age.
Evaluating his ten years with Cardano, Hoskinson stated that they aim to ensure a smooth transition to a fully decentralized and community-managed ecosystem.
Hoskinson summed up the past decade this way:
“I have spent ten years of my life on Cardano as of 2025. Many mistakes were made, but I never crossed the line or deviated from the original roadmap to take money from the community.”
With the upcoming implementation of the Chang hard fork upgrade, ADA is now managed by community members. Hoskinson described it as one of his missions to remove obstacles to this transition and ensure that no individual or institution obstructs the process.
The Voltaire Era is the final phase on Cardano’s roadmap, focusing on full decentralization and community-driven governance. A critical step in this transition is approving the budget and bylaws, which Hoskinson sees as crucial to the project’s success.
However, there are still obstacles. Some insiders have expressed concerns about the timeline, accusing the Cardano Foundation of delaying the approval process. Hoskinson stressed that these plans should be approved next year:
“This is my mission for the last ten years, and I will fulfill it no matter what, no matter the personal, economic or professional consequences.”
Despite the challenges, Hoskinson remains hopeful about Cardano’s future, predicting that 2025 will be its best year yet.
