Grayscale 2025 Q1 TOP 20 cryptocurrencies
According to Grayscale's report, the key areas and tracks they focused on when selecting these cryptocurrencies are:
Cryptocurrencies benefiting from the favorable results of the U.S. elections, particularly in the DeFi and staking sectors;
AI and AI Agents;
Solana ecosystem.
Based on the above considerations, Grayscale has listed the following assets as the TOP 20 cryptocurrencies for Q1 2025: BTC, ETH, SOL, LINK, SUI, UNI, HYPE, AAVE, TAO, ENA, OP, VIRTUAL, LDO, HNT, AR, JUP, AERO, AKT, JTO, GRASS.
It is worth mentioning that the following six projects are newly added cryptocurrencies to Grayscale's list:
HYPE (Hyperliquid): This is a Layer 1 blockchain aimed at supporting on-chain financial applications, with its main application being a decentralized exchange (DEX) for perpetual contracts.
ENA (Ethena): A decentralized stablecoin protocol, with its main product being the synthetic dollar stablecoin USDe.

How is Grayscale's cryptocurrency fund holdings performing?
According to TechFlow's statistics earlier this month, in the month ending December 4, the assets in Grayscale's cryptocurrency investment portfolio averaged a 125% increase within one month, with the largest increases including XLM (up 456% in one month) and XRP (up 402.7% in one month), while the smallest increase was for TAO, which still had a 43.2% increase in one month.
It is also worth mentioning that in Grayscale's latest 2025 Q1 TOP 20 list, cryptocurrencies such as LINK, AAVE, and ENA are also key holdings in the WLFI cryptocurrency projects related to the newly elected U.S. President Trump, and also include some tokens from Coinbase's COIN50 index.
Therefore, some netizens have commented that these tokens are 'both Grayscale selected, Trump selected, and Coinbase selected; for retail investors who don't know what to buy, there is no need to choose themselves, just follow and buy.'
