According to Odaily, cryptocurrency payment platform MoonPay has announced that it has received a MiCA license from the Dutch Financial Markets Authority. The MiCA regulation establishes a unified legal framework for digital assets across the European Economic Area (EEA), aiming to enhance consumer protection, transparency, and market stability. With this approval, MoonPay can continue offering fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat payment services in Europe. The company operates in over 180 countries and supports more than 100 digital assets. The MiCA framework officially takes effect today, marking a significant advancement in the European cryptocurrency sector.
