The World Foundation, manager of Worldcoin, announced that it will appeal the BayLDA's decision, reaffirming its commitment to user privacy and security. According to the organization, iris codes are stored only on users' devices, thanks to the implementation of Personal Data Custody and AMPC (Anonymized Multiparty Computation) settings. Furthermore, the data collected in 2023 was voluntarily deleted in May. This innovative system ensures that neither Worldcoin nor third parties have access to users' identities, using encrypted secret shares to guarantee anonymity and the proper functioning of the identification system.
