The FBI has seized the darknet website of a ransomware group called Hive that extorted more than $100 million from victim organizations, including a Louisiana hospital. Hospitals said they blocked a ransomware attack in October, but hackers still stole the personal data of nearly 270,000 patients. The FBI and other federal agencies warned that as of November, Hive ransomware had been used to extort approximately $100 million from more than 1,300 companies around the world, many of them healthcare companies.
