Should You Worry About Tether (USDT) Being Delisted from EU Exchanges?
Recently, there was news that Tether (USDT) was being delisted from some European exchanges. I was ignoring the news because it wasn’t really a big concern, but many of you are wondering if this is a serious issue. Let me put it simply: it’s not a concern.
Here’s why:
1️⃣ Most exchanges in the EU have already stopped operating due to the region’s strict regulations on cryptocurrencies. This means that Tether’s delisting won’t have much of an impact because many exchanges were already unavailable or limited to the EU market.
2️⃣ If you hold cryptocurrency that was purchased using Tether, you don’t have to worry. The value of your holdings is tied to the coins or tokens you purchased, not the method of purchase. Whether you use Tether, Bitcoin, or fiat currency, your assets remain safe in your wallet or on the platform you use.
3️⃣ USDT is still widely supported globally. Outside the EU, its market cap is $138 billion. Most major exchanges and platforms continue to use USDT as their primary stablecoin. Don't panic.
