There is nothing wrong with shorting at a high position; the mistake lies in entering the market at a point that is only a high at that time, but later looks like a low. Because there is no upper limit to the increase, you can never buy at the highest point. What you think is a high point is merely halfway up the mountain or even a low point.

Why I say shorting at high positions is difficult, the high position itself is an uptrend, going short is against the trend, and often a few candlesticks can bring it down. It's hard to grasp the timing. After a big drop, when trying to analyze the pattern, the result is that someone buys the dip and a few bullish candlesticks pull it back up. I have never seen anyone who shorted at high positions survive for a year; they all get wiped out when the market turns bullish.
