According to Odaily, technology billionaire Elon Musk is under scrutiny from U.S. conservatives following allegations that several prominent right-wing accounts critical of his immigration views have been restricted from using advanced features on his social media platform, X. An investigation revealed that at least 14 conservative accounts reported on Thursday or Friday that their 'blue check verification' was revoked by X, limiting their access to various advanced features, including monetization through subscriptions and ad revenue sharing. Some accounts suggest that the number of affected accounts is significantly higher. Certain conservative figures view X's actions as a betrayal by Musk, accusing him of 'shadow banning' his conservative critics. Musk acquired Twitter, now known as X, in 2022, partly due to his belief that the platform unfairly restricted conservative speech. Since then, Musk has described himself as a 'free speech advocate.'
