Foresight News reports that the Web3 wallet brand SafePal has opened a beta service for a Mastercard in collaboration with Swiss Fiat24 Bank for users in mainland China. This allows users to open a personal compliant bank account using their ID card or passport through the built-in banking channel in the SafePal wallet app, and apply for a Mastercard. The card supports four currencies: US dollars (USD), Chinese yuan (RMB), euros (EUR), and Swiss francs (CHF). It can be recharged and exchanged using USDC, and is linked to payment platforms such as Alipay and WeChat for online or offline payments. The service will gradually be opened to more regions in the future.
