In November 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto presented the Bitcoin protocol[1][2] on the Cryptography Mailing List, hosted by the site metzdowd.com. In 2009, he released the first version of the client software[3][4] and collaborated anonymously with other developers to improve the project. In 2010, he retired from the Bitcoin community. His last official contact dates back to 2011, when he declared that he had moved on to other projects, entrusting the management of Bitcoin to Gavin Andresen and communicating that the project was in good hands.
