According to Business Insider, FTX former executive Ryan Salame's prison sentence has been reduced, with his latest release date moved up to March 2031, shortening his original 7.5-year sentence by about a year. Salame began serving his sentence this October after pleading guilty to his involvement in SBF's multi-billion dollar fraud case and being sentenced. He was previously sentenced for conspiracy to commit illegal campaign finance donations and unlicensed money transmission. It is reported that the adjustment of Salame's sentence is related to the 2018 First Step Act, which allows compliant inmates to reduce their sentences by up to 54 days per year.
