🇯🇵Japanese Prime Minister: Not in a hurry to reserve Bitcoin!
Two weeks ago, House member Satoshi Hamada proposed that Japan should follow the United States' example and consider transferring a portion of its foreign exchange reserves into Bitcoin.
However, the Japanese government, under Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, responded cautiously:
"We do not yet have a clear understanding of the details regarding the movements in the U.S. and other countries. This is a complex issue that needs to be studied carefully before making a decision."
The reasons are:
1️⃣ Bitcoin is not considered foreign currency under Japanese law – meaning it does not fall into the category of assets that can be reserved like gold or USD.
2️⃣ The price of Bitcoin is too volatile – This does not align with the safety and stability objectives of national reserves.
