Phala Network and AI project Spore.fun lead a new trend: TEE technology promotes AI autonomous reproduction

With the combination of Web3 and AI technology, innovative projects continue to emerge. On December 25, the AI Agent project aiPool was officially launched and quickly exceeded a market value of US$100 million, attracting a large amount of on-chain liquidity. At the same time, Spore.fun, an autonomous AI evolution platform combined with ai16z's Eliza framework, has also attracted much attention. Both projects use Phala Network's TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) technology to ensure data security and privacy and promote the autonomous evolution of AI.

Spore.fun's autonomous evolution

Spore.fun is inspired by AI Swarm, proposed by Shaw, which imitates the collaboration, competition and evolution of ant colonies and neural networks. The platform combines Solana's Pump.fun and Phala's TEE verification calculation to achieve autonomous evolution and development of AI. Successful AI agents can accumulate wealth through token trading and reproduce. The platform plans to enhance the interactivity of the community by airdropping Phala Network's tokens (such as $adam and $eve) to $Spore holders. These two tokens are the paternal and maternal AI characters of the Spore.fun platform.

Spore.fun achieves autonomous reproduction and adaptation of AI Agents through the cooperation and evolution of AI groups, no longer relying on human intervention. Each AI Agent is started through the Pump.fun platform, and when the market value reaches $500,000, they are eligible to enter the "breeding" stage. To ensure the security of this process, the agent needs to rent a TEE server supported by Phala Network to ensure that it runs in a controlled environment.

The $spore token is shown in the figure below: Its current market value is around 67 million US dollars, which has increased by about 3 times since its listing.

AI-Pool: Innovative AI agent autonomous pre-sale mechanism

AI-Pool is a new AI agent autonomy and token pre-sale mechanism. Aipool is used for pre-sale, anti-runaway and anti-MEV. The user sends SOL (non-CA address) to the wallet address of the AI Agent, which generates a private key in the TEE environment and presets access rights to manage the Pool. When certain conditions are met, AI will automatically create a liquidity pool on the on-chain DEX and distribute tokens to eligible participants. The collected transaction fees will be aggregated to the AI wallet; AI Agent independently controls the private key address (cannot run away), and AI Agent independently creates a trading pool (sets a whitelist, unlocks funds in batches, sets the initial price, uses oracle pricing, etc.) to reduce the impact of MEV arbitrage.

Currently, the project is still in version V1, and 10% of the supply will be sent to a custodial wallet (publicly visible). These funds will be used for possible future exchange listings, or other integrations (cross-chain LP pools, etc.), or destroyed. Technically, developers can push code to change the rules, but this requires an execution period of about 24 hours. Of course, once the token is online and locked, it cannot be changed. The core mechanism of the project is as follows:

  1. Funds Receiving: Users can directly send SOL to the wallet address of AI agent (opRyDjuRetWnsP78FNFTPEnAJX7AkjuD6GTP7tsqHXd) with a minimum of 1 SOL and a maximum of 10 SOL:

    1. Any amount below the minimum will be considered a donation

  2. Security: Through @PhalaNetwork’s TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) technology:

    1. Private keys are generated and stored in TEE

    2. Developers cannot access private keys

    3. All operations can be verified in the terminal log

  3. Liquidity Management:

    1. AI will create liquidity pools through Metoria (not PumpFun)

    2. Transaction fees flow directly back to the AI wallet

    3. Eligible participants will receive token distribution

Although it was an experiment, the market FOMO and the issuance mechanism were criticized for unclear details. The pre-sale address received more than 35,000 $SOL in just half a day, worth nearly 7 million US dollars. Although the pre-sale was set at 10 $SOL per address, someone still deposited more than 500 $SOL into the pre-sale address.

In V2 and future versions, the team hopes to make the AI agents in the project fully autonomous, possibly operating in the form of a DAO so that everyone can benefit from the fees flowing to the AI agent wallet, while introducing some whitelisting technology and blacklisting those who try to snipe or manipulate the system.

Phala Network's strategic layout and technological innovation

Phala Network believes that with the rise of AI, the demand for data security and privacy protection has increased dramatically, and the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) is crucial in ensuring the data integrity and security of AI operations. In response to this demand, Phala developed the TEE-based Dstack framework to simplify the requirements of AI projects for a secure computing environment. This year, Phala has significantly increased the use of AI Agents through TEE technology, from 150 contract executions at the beginning of the year to approximately 750,000.

Phala's TEE technology has been widely used in many fields, including decentralized AI model training, Ethereum blockchain security construction, etc. The cooperation with Hyperbolic integrates confidential computing technology into the blockchain to ensure the security of AI models; the cooperation with DePIN protocol io.net provides secure GPU resource access for decentralized AI; and jointly promotes the secure execution of AI with multiple partners.

Phala also developed autonomous AI Agents, such as @TEE_HE on Twitter, which enables AI to make autonomous decisions by eliminating human intervention. Although the token price of this project has soared in a short period of time, the technical team's attitude towards MEME coins has made the market reaction complicated.

Phala plans to launch Phala 2.0 in 2025, integrating GPU TEE technology to provide higher processing power for AI and privacy protection applications, and plans to launch the Phala Cloud platform to simplify the deployment and management of TEE applications.

As a technology provider, $PHA has nearly quadrupled its price in just a few days, reaching a maximum of $0.38, due to the popularity of the aiPool and spore projects.

Summarize

Spore.fun and aiPool are two typical cases based on Phala Network's TEE technology to promote autonomous evolution and innovation in the field of AI. Spore.fun is committed to accelerating the development of AGI and breaking through the limitations of human design through cooperation and competition among AI groups; while AI-Pool provides a more secure and transparent token pre-sale mechanism through autonomous control of AI agents. Both projects demonstrate the huge potential of combining AI with Web3 technology, providing new directions for future intelligent development.
