【Toyota Donates $1 Million to Trump's Inauguration】Golden Finance reports that a spokesman for Toyota Motor Corporation (TM.N) stated on Tuesday that the company will donate $1 million to the inauguration of President-elect Trump on January 20. The day before, Detroit's Ford Motor Company (F.N) and General Motors (GM.N) also announced they would donate the same amount. Ford and GM will also provide vehicles for the inauguration, but Toyota, based in Japan, stated they do not plan to do so. Trump has proposed imposing tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, which will affect many North American car manufacturers, including Toyota, which produces the Tacoma pickup in Mexico. Trump also intends to repeal many of the current President Biden's incentives for electric vehicles and emissions. Other major companies, including Amazon (AMZN.O) and Meta Platforms (META.O), also donated to the inauguration.
