As the crypto market faces corrections and sell-offs heading into Christmas and the new year, several new projects are offering airdrop opportunities. Users can participate in simple tasks and earn tokens without any initial investment.
Here are three crypto airdrops to keep an eye on in the last week of 2024.
Caldera
Caldera is a high-performance, application-specific rollup deployment platform using frameworks such as Arbitrum Nitro, Optimism Bedrock, zkSync ZK Stack, and Polygon CDK. The project raised $25 million, including a $15 million Series A contribution led by Founders Fund.
Caldera’s testnet campaign currently features three open tasks that can lead to airdrop eligibility. First, there is the Apechain NFT challenge. Users can mint a new NFT released in collaboration with Apechain.
Minting this NFT by December 24th may increase eligibility for future rewards.
Additionally, to celebrate reaching $1 billion in total value locked (TVL) in Caldera Rollups, the project has released a free NFT to mint. Interested users can connect their wallets and mint this token directly on the official website.
From December 22nd to January 1st, complete the mini-quests posted on our social media channels to mine free trading cards. On January 2nd, one lucky winner will be randomly selected to win: 1 year of sponsored gas fees on Ethereum. Yes, all year long. Plus, three additional winners will each take home a Ledger Flex!, Caldera posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Finally, those interested in airdrop can participate by minting the “Rollup Providoor” NFT, on the dedicated superboard website, a collaboration between Caldera and RARI Chain.
While the official airdrop date is not yet confirmed, many tasks ending this week could lead to a TGE (token generation event) announcement soon.
Anoma (Namada)
Anoma is a decentralized operating system designed to integrate multiple blockchain networks into a unified development environment. Backed by Polychain Capital and Coinbase Ventures, Anoma has raised $57.75 million.
Anoma's Guild campaign rewards participants with roles on its Discord server. Users must complete several tasks to qualify, though roles may take a few hours to appear.
We are ready to move away from bridges in 2024. Anoma introduces a new model where state can move freely between chains, making bridges unnecessary, the project posted on X.
Additionally, in partnership with Namada, Anoma is offering an additional mission to earn the “Shield Squad” role. To qualify, users must meet at least two criteria, such as having specific roles on Namada’s Discord, following Namada on X, or maintaining a history of participation in the Namada community.
While the airdrop date is not set, Anoma’s initiatives emphasize rewarding early engagement.
OpenLoop (OPEN)
OpenLoop is a decentralized wireless network that transforms the delivery of internet services by enabling users to share idle bandwidth.
Founded in 2024, OpenLoop focuses on decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) and has raised US$15 million, with support from the IPN Foundation.
The team recently released a browser extension that offers users points for passive usage. These points can translate into eligibility for a future airdrop.
Participants can install the browser extension to register an account, invite friends, and complete tasks to increase their point count.
And just like that… the OpenLoop Extension hits 200K downloads! A big thank you to all of our Validators, partners, supporters, and community members who made this milestone possible. Let’s keep the momentum going — 500K, here we come!, OpenLoop posted on X.
OpenLoop is still in its testnet phase, with no fixed deadline for participation. It is speculated that the project may launch its airdrop before transitioning to mainnet in early 2025.
These projects highlight the growing opportunities in the crypto space to earn distributed tokens through active participation. With varying timelines and requirements, early engagement can position users to benefit from these potential rewards.
