Popular crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen stated that Ethereum (ETH) will enter a strong uptrend against Bitcoin (BTC) by 2025.
Cowen stated that Ethereum will enter the new year with an uptrend against Bitcoin and that based on historical data, ETH could soon reach its bottom against Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency in terms of market value. In an update to his 848,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel, Cowen stated that the ETH/BTC parity will increase in early 2025, but this movement will be independent of Bitcoin's price movements against the dollar.
Cowen said, “Based on historical data, we expect ETH/BTC to bottom out in December or January. We are currently on December 22nd and my guess is that Ethereum will continue to be weak against Bitcoin for the rest of the year. There may be some bullish weeks here and there, but we will see the real action in 2025.” The analyst predicted that 2025 will be a positive year for ETH/BTC based on previous market cycles. “The first two quarters of 2022 were red, but we saw green closes in the third and fourth quarters. The second quarter of 2024 also showed a green close for ETH/BTC. When you look at 2021, ETH/BTC was generally positive. In 2017, the first half of the year was green, the second half was red, but we had a green year again in 2018,” he added. Cowen emphasized that, in line with this data, 2025 and perhaps early 2026 will be positive for the ETH/BTC parity.
