MicroStrategy continues to buy Bitcoin. In December, it bought a total of 42,162 BTC, creating a portfolio worth around $4 billion. In the last purchase, the company spent $561 million for 5,262 BTC, paying an average of $106,662 per BTC. This is the highest price MicroStrategy has ever paid. However, this purchase only represents 12% of its total BTC purchases in December, and is 191% lower than previous purchases. MicroStrategy’s slowdown in BTC purchases coincides with market rumors and concerns about the inauguration of a new US president. Do you think this strategy is sustainable?
