Regarding the Ethereum Foundation's selling coins at the peak, if we set aside all emotions and discuss it seriously, you will find everything is quite strange. First of all, I have already analyzed the logic behind the coin sales in detail in the long post I quoted four days ago, and I strongly recommend reading it again. The most important point mentioned is that in August alone, the Ethereum Foundation sold 35,000 ETH through OTC, while the total public small-scale coin sales throughout the year amounted to only 4,600. This means that
1. The Ethereum Foundation is fully capable of selling coins through OTC rather than publicly, and it has already been extensively using OTC for sales.
2. The small amount of public coin sales by the Ethereum Foundation is negligible compared to its OTC sales, making it completely unnecessary to do so.
It’s like you could clearly earn 1 million every month, yet you still insist on picking up bottles. If you continue to do something that offers little benefit to yourself and exposes you to criticism, there are only two possibilities:
1. You are deliberately trying to disgust everyone, as analyzed in the quoted tweet, to prove your own values through this behavior.
2. You have some unspoken difficulties, which is also the source of many people's conspiracy theories about Ethereum changing hands, meaning that the Ethereum Foundation is cooperating to suppress emotions and prices.
However, regardless of the reason, consistently engaging in such unnecessary actions for a long time is very abnormal and illogical. There must be a reason behind it. I wonder if there are any great scholars who can debate and clarify this? After all, the operational system of the Ethereum Foundation is too centralized, and there isn't even an avenue to raise questions and seek answers from Foundation personnel.
