Kuomintang legislator Lai Shih-pao is concerned about the taxation of profits from personal cryptocurrency trading and raised questions at the Legislative Yuan's Finance Committee meeting. The Ministry of Finance stated that transactions involving virtual assets are considered digital assets, and the profits from buying and selling should be regarded as property transaction income and reported in individual comprehensive income tax.

📈 The Ministry of Finance will formulate specific measures to strengthen audits within three months.
