Bitcoin (BTC) price fell below $98,000 on Friday, down over 6% this week.

Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) also dropped 12% and 4.5% respectively.

The price drop triggered a wave of market liquidations, with a total liquidation amount exceeding $1.17 billion in the past 24 hours, including over $238 million in BTC liquidations, over $220 million in ETH liquidations, and over $47 million in XRP liquidations.

Ripple's price encountered resistance around $2.66 on Tuesday and fell 12.78% in the following two days.

As of the time of writing on Friday, Ripple bounced from a daily support level of $2.21 and is trading at around $2.33.

If XRP closes below the support level of $2.21, it may continue to decline and retest the next support level of $1.96.

The RSI on the daily chart is at 57, having broken above the overbought level of 70 on Tuesday, indicating signs of weakness in bullish momentum. If the RSI falls below the neutral level of 50, it could signal a significant drop in Ripple's price.

If XRP rises and closes above $2.66, it may continue to gain and retest the important psychological level of $3.00.
