Hey, why is this Usual stablecoin so popular? We need to start from the beginning.
Back when President Biden was in office, Usual was quite popular on Binance for over a month. However, what it offers is not interest, but stablecoin USD0. Moreover, you can use this USD0 to participate in DeFi projects, and staking USD0 can earn you USD0++, both yielding returns, which is what we call the TVL provider part.
Usual is also a governance token, with 12.37% currently unlocked; the remaining part is minted based on the amount of USD0++ locked, ensuring that the issuance rate does not exceed the rate of economic expansion, which is quite reasonable.
Stablecoins are the infrastructure of the crypto world; Tether, the issuer of USDT, earns over $10 billion a year with just over 100 employees.
