Golden Finance reported that Chainalysis stated in a report released on December 19 that North Korean hackers stole more than $1.3 billion worth of cryptocurrency in 47 incidents that occurred in 2024, accounting for approximately 61% of the total amount of all reported thefts that year. Chainalysis noted, 'North Korea's crypto attacks seem to be becoming increasingly frequent,' adding, 'Notably, the frequency of attacks in 2024 in the range of $50 million to $100 million and those exceeding $100 million is significantly higher than in 2023, indicating that North Korea is becoming more proficient and faster in conducting large-scale attacks. This contrasts sharply with the previous two years, during which North Korea's attacks were more frequent, but each attack generated profits of less than $50 million.'
