XRP community releases video questioning its investment value

Ripple CTO responds to the doubts

Ripple's Chief Technology Officer David Schwartz responded that while it is not necessary to hold XRP to use it for payments, others holding XRP supports market liquidity.

He refuted the idea that XRP's price is entirely driven by changes in the ecosystem or speculation, using historical price charts as evidence. Schwartz also emphasized how Stellar's price follows XRP's performance, further confirming the convergence between the two assets.

Advantages of holding XRP

Schwartz suggested that holding XRP helps reduce the number of currency conversions and increases trading efficiency. It makes sense to hold XRP when one is unsure which currency to use for payment, especially considering the existence of multiple stablecoins.
