PANews reported on December 19 that according to a study by NFT Evening, after Bitcoin broke through the $100,000 barrier, it has created 14,211 new millionaires and 4 new billionaires. The report explained that Bitcoin investors became millionaires 22 times faster than stock investors, further demonstrating Bitcoin's powerful ability to create wealth.
To illustrate this, the study compared the return on investment of $4,000 in Bitcoin and traditional company stocks in 2010. After about 3,775 days (or 10.3 years), Bitcoin investors first reached the milestone of $1 million. In contrast, investors who put the same amount into blue-chip stocks saw their portfolios grow to only $45,000.
Meanwhile, research found that investors who invested $30,500 in Bitcoin at the beginning of 2011 became billionaires after about 4,645 days (or 12.7 years), equivalent to a 32,787 times return on investment. As for the return on investment in stocks, the report noted: In comparison, investors who invested the same amount in blue-chip stocks during the same period saw their portfolios grow to only $950,000. This means that when Bitcoin investors became billionaires, stock investors had only just reached the milestone of $1 million.
