Here comes the dish! NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang has pulled out new offerings from the kitchen. This time, it's the Jetson Orin Nano Super. Jensen humorously introduced the Jetson Orin Nano Super, mentioning that it might have been 'baked' too long, causing the food to shrink. This small device, easily held in one hand, is a supercomputer, like implanting a conscious heart (GPU) into a robot, connecting the robot's senses (cameras, AI voice recognition, etc.) with the AI brain, training it for 'sensory' perception in artificial intelligence.
Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit Introduction
The Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit is a compact supercomputer that packs a punch. The kit consists of the Jetson Orin Nano 8GB System on Module (SoM) and a carrier board, which provides a platform for prototyping Edge AI applications.
The upgraded Jetson Orin Nano Super small Edge AI device can deliver 1.7 times the processing performance of its predecessor. It can seamlessly run the most popular generative AI models, such as vision transformers, large language models, vision-language models, and more. The SoM employs Nvidia Ampere architecture GPU and a 6-core Arm CPU, facilitating efficient operation across multiple AI applications and supporting four cameras, providing higher resolution and frame rates than the previous version.
The Jetson series can run NVIDIA software, including NVIDIA Isaac for robotics, NVIDIA Metropolis for Vision AI, and NVIDIA Holoscan for sensor processing. With the help of the NVIDIA Omniverse Replicator for generating synthetic data and the NVIDIA TAO Toolkit and CUDA for fine-tuning pre-trained AI models in the NGC catalog, developers can shorten development times using the new kit.
The new developer kit is priced affordably at just $249, offering an economical entry point for developers, students, and development teams. Existing Jetson Orin Nano development kit users can also experience upgraded performance by simply upgrading their software.
Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit Application Scenarios
Jetson Orin Nano Super provides a comprehensive ecosystem and community for developers interested in developing Generative AI, Edge AI, Robotics, or Vision AI, enabling them to turn their ideas into reality.
NVIDIA's Jetson AI Lab offers an open-source community and hardware-software technology exchange.
The NVIDIA Jetson AI Lab is an open-source community that provides real-time support and tutorials for large language models. Development teams can benefit from extensive support from the Jetson community and gain new inspiration from all projects.
NVIDIA provides additional developer tools and customized software for Jetson ecosystem partners. It can even assist with carrier board and design solutions for cameras and other sensors.
