Powell: The Federal Reserve Does Not Consider Adding Bitcoin to Its Balance Sheet
Federal Reserve Chairman Powell stated at a press conference after the interest rate meeting that the Federal Reserve does not plan to add Bitcoin to its balance sheet. "We are not allowed to hold Bitcoin. The Federal Reserve Act specifies what the Federal Reserve can hold, and the Federal Reserve is not seeking to change that. This is a matter for Congress to consider, but the Federal Reserve does not wish to amend the law."
