Deep Tide TechFlow News, on December 18, according to Cointelegraph, the UK has proposed four policy recommendations in the field of artificial intelligence and the creative industries, one of which would allow AI companies to use copyrighted materials without the permission of the rights holders. Feedback from the artificial intelligence and creative industries can be provided by February 25, 2025.

Peter Kyle, the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, stated in a statement that the uncertainty of how copyright law applies to artificial intelligence hinders both industries from fully realizing their potential. He mentioned that the current framework for artificial intelligence and copyright does not support the UK's creative industries nor the UK's AI sector in competing on the global stage.
