According to TechFlow, Sui Bridge has now integrated Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP), allowing users to transfer native USDC stablecoins between Sui and eight other blockchains. This integration enhances the functionality of Sui Bridge and makes USDC transfers more efficient.
CCTP supports one-to-one secure transfers of USDC between Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Noble, OP Mainnet, Polygon PoS, and Solana, and adds support for Sui. Users only need to pay transaction fees on the source and target chains to transfer USDC across chains. CCTP completes the transfer by destroying USDC on the source chain and minting new USDC on the target chain. Since the value of USDC is pegged to the US dollar, there is no need to exchange currencies.
It is reported that the Sui Bridge went live in September this year and is a native cross-chain bridge on Sui, currently supporting the transfer between SUI and ETH. By integrating CCTP into the Sui Bridge, users can complete asset transfers on a single platform, further enhancing interoperability between chains.
