The integration of NFTs into the state activity of Ukraine is not only possible, but also quite promising. Blockchain technology and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) can significantly improve the transparency, security and efficiency of the state apparatus. But let's analyze this issue in more detail.
---
Where can NFTs be useful?
1. Documents and registers
Imagine every important document — from birth certificates to property registrations — exists as an NFT. It cannot be forged, "lost" in the archive, or "transferred" to another person. Your house will no longer be resold "retroactively," and your inheritance will no longer be subject to raiding. State registries on the blockchain are an anti-corruption activist's dream!
2. Voting
Each voter receives an NFT card for voting. Transparency of the process, absence of fraud and — most interestingly — the possibility of instant vote counting. Goodbye, "dead souls" and "carousels."
3. Cultural heritage
NFTs can be useful for preserving and selling digital copies of Ukrainian cultural monuments. For example, the National Museum could sell NFTs of digital versions of paintings, earning money to restore the originals.
4. Army assistance and charity
Selling NFTs to raise funds for military or humanitarian aid is nothing new. Ukraine, by the way, raised cryptocurrency for the army during a full-scale Russian invasion, and it worked.

Obstacles to an NFT state
Legal chaos
Ukrainian legislation on digital assets is in the "unfinished business" stage. The Law "On Virtual Assets" is just the first step, but clear rules of the game are needed for the implementation of NFTs.
Digital divide
There are still regions in Ukraine where people trust paper certificates more than blockchain. Extending the "digit" there is a task with many unknowns.
Corruption
Ironically, NFTs can eradicate corruption, but first they will have to defeat those who don’t want to lose it.

Examples of world practice
Estonia is already actively using blockchain for its e-government services.
In Georgia, blockchain is used for property registration.
In South Korea, NFTs are used for identification in government programs.
Ukraine could become a pioneer in this direction in Eastern Europe, if... if someone has enough political will and common sense.

Conclusion
NFT in government activities is not only fashionable, but also effective. This is the path to transparency, the fight against bureaucracy and corruption. But while we are thinking, other countries are already implementing these technologies. Well, we can only hope that Ukraine will not become the NFT analogue of Windows XP in the blockchain world.
