After extensive discussions in the DAO forum and subsequent community voting, LDO token holders proposed to terminate the Lido on Polygon protocol, and this process will be initiated soon. Lido stated that the strategic refocus on Ethereum and the lack of scalability of Polygon POS are the reasons for deactivating Lido on the Polygon network. Key date information is as follows:

  1. December 16, 2024: Lido staking on the Polygon network will stop, and new staking will no longer be accepted through the UI;

  2. December 16, 2024 - June 16, 2025: A six-month transition period during which users can withdraw through Lido on the Polygon UI;

  3. January 15 to January 22, 2025: The protocol will be paused and then resumed; no withdrawals can be processed during this period;

  4. June 16, 2025: Front-end support ends, and after this date, withdrawals can only be made through browser tools.
