Hong Kong will submit the (Stablecoin Regulation Draft) for the first reading to the Legislative Council on December 18. According to the proposed licensing system, anyone engaging in any of the following activities must first obtain a license from the Financial Management Commissioner: issuing fiat stablecoins in Hong Kong during business operations; issuing fiat stablecoins that claim to be pegged to the value of the Hong Kong dollar during business operations; or actively promoting the issuance of their fiat stablecoins to the Hong Kong public. To effectively implement the system, the draft also proposes granting the Financial Management Commissioner the necessary regulatory, investigative, and enforcement powers.
Block's Cash App announced it will cease support for Bitcoin peer-to-peer transfers via cashtags starting December 20, 2024, but users can still transfer via the Lightning Network or Bitcoin blockchain.
Project Progress
Mainnet and token launch
Avalanche9000 will launch its mainnet on December 16.
Swan Chain will launch the SWAN token TGE on December 16, with a total supply of 1 billion SWAN tokens. 20% will be allocated for early users and future community rewards airdrops, 20% to investors, 20% to the DAO treasury, 25% to the ecological fund, and 15% to key developers and team members.
The decentralized AI data liquidity network Vana mainnet will go live on December 16 at 5:00 PM, and VANA token trading will open at 6:00 PM the same day. Binance will list VANA on December 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
Sonic Labs announced that the Sonic mainnet will open to the public on December 17.
Bitget launched the token distribution product LaunchX, featuring the initial project Fuel Network (FUEL) at a subscription price of 1 FUEL for 0.02 USDT. Subscription period: December 17, 2024, 10:00 to December 19, 2024, 10:00.
Impossible Finance will open the Fuel token sale on December 17, starting at 6:00 PM, with 100% of tokens unlocking at TGE. The total allocation for this distribution is 90 million tokens, with a unit price of $0.02, including 20 million tokens for IDIA stakers, 10 million tokens for the Fuel ecosystem community whitelisted FCFS allocation, 25 million tokens for Fuel cross-chain whitelisted FCFS allocation, 5 million tokens for public FCFS allocation, and 30 million tokens for other community allocations.
Token creation and distribution infrastructure Streamflow will launch the STREAM TGE on December 17, 2024, at 9:00 PM.
The modular blockchain Sophon will launch its mainnet on December 18. In October of this year, Binance Labs announced an investment in Sophon, with the specific amount undisclosed.
Binance will list Usual (USUAL) on December 18, 2024, at 7:00 PM.
Telegram ecosystem application Tomarket announced that the token TOMA will go live on December 20, and before the token launch, there will be an airdrop event, distributing 30% of the total TOMA supply as rewards to users who actively participate in platform activities before the token goes live. The minimum threshold for this airdrop is Silver I level, and all users meeting this level and above can participate. The airdrop amount will be distributed based on users' levels, taking into account participation in activities such as blind boxes and check-ins. A snapshot will be taken on December 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
Airdrop Time Nodes
Ethereum L2 Taiko Season 2 will run until December 16, offering a reward of 6 million TAIKO tokens, with 5 million for participants and 1 million for DApps. Additionally, the Taiko Trailblazers Season 3 will kick off on December 16 at 8:01 PM. A new Lockdown event will also launch simultaneously and run until the end of Season 3. Users can lock their TAIKO tokens through the Lockdown event to gain a 90x XP boost.
Over Protocol will open airdrop claims on December 16 at 9:00 AM.
The BTC chain DOB project Nervape will conduct a Nervape Gear snapshot and airdrop event on December 17.
Movement joins the G Staking ecosystem, G stakers can receive MOVE token airdrop rewards, with the snapshot time being December 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM, and the total prize pool exceeding $1 million.
Aligned has opened the third batch of airdrop queries, targeting users who have completed Aligned-related tasks on Glaxe. A total of 89,113 eligible addresses exist, but users must register by December 18.
The Zulu Network airdrop claim website for Bitcoin DePIN layer will be open until December 19. The Zulu Network will not provide Ethereum-based airdrops; users need a wallet compatible with Zulu (EVM) to participate, and unclaimed tokens will flow into the liquidity pool of AdamSwap. Staking will be enabled in the coming days.
Floki will distribute the Wise Monkey (MONKY) token airdrop to FLOKI and TOKEN holders' supply (31%) by December 20 at the latest.
The DEX aggregator ODOS airdrop claim will open on December 20 at 12:00 PM, with 494,278 eligible addresses receiving retroactive ODOS token rewards based on historical usage.

Stablecoin issuer Ethena is expected to officially launch its stablecoin product USDtb on December 16, with USDtb initially supported by over 90% from BlackRock BUIDL, which will be the highest BUIDL allocation among all stablecoin issuers.
The Ethereum Layer2 network Linea plans to release the Alpha v4.0 upgrade on December 16, which will introduce state reconstruction features, finer-grained role management, and gas optimization across key contracts.
The Arbitrum ecosystem NFT Nethers will begin migrating to the OverProtocol mainnet on December 16 at 8:00 AM. Users have 3 months to access Nethers NFT cross-chain and claim airdrops.
Bitcoin scaling solution Stacks announced it will deploy sBTC in two phases, with the first phase mainnet launching on December 16, 2024, enabling Bitcoin deposit functionality. sBTC will launch on December 17.
The zkEVM network Kakarot based on Starknet will abandon the deployment of Starknet, and Kakarot on the Starknet Sepolia testnet will close on December 16, 2024.
Decentralized data infrastructure CESS will participate in the Blockchain Association policy summit held at The Wharf Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, D.C., from December 16 to 17, 2024. This summit is a member-exclusive event, gathering policymakers, regulators, and industry innovators, including U.S. Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), Bill Hagerty (R-TN), and former Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission J. Christopher Giancarlo.
The Captain Laserhawk Universe game will launch early access on December 18, having partnered with ENS to integrate its subdomains into the Captain Laserhawk Universe game ID card system.

Arbitrum (ARB) will unlock 92.65 million tokens on December 16 at 9:00 PM, worth approximately $94.41 million, accounting for 2.26% of circulating supply;
ApeCoin (APE) will unlock 15.6 million tokens on December 17 at 8:30 PM, worth approximately $25.12 million, accounting for 2.16% of circulating supply;
QuantixAI (QAI) will unlock 232,300 tokens on December 18 at 8:00 AM, worth approximately $2.23 million, accounting for 5.16% of circulating supply;
Cardano (ADA) will unlock 18.53 million tokens on December 21 at 8:00 AM, worth approximately $20.27 million, accounting for 0.05% of circulating supply.
Proposal Vote
The QuickSwap community will end the proposal vote to integrate QuickSwap's AI agent with SphereOne on December 18.
LayerZero will initiate a vote on whether to activate LayerZero protocol fees on December 20 at 8:00 AM, with voting ending on December 27 at 8:00 AM. This vote will determine whether LayerZero will start charging protocol fees for each message. The collected protocol fees will be used to repurchase and burn ZRO, reducing its circulating supply.
