as Bitcoin reaches an all-time high, FBI Baltimore Special Agent David Paniwozik has found that more and more criminals are attempting to profit from cryptocurrency scams. "They want to get involved, try to make money, and it seems like a quick, easy way," SA Paniwozik said. One major problem is that investors are still unfamiliar with the technology, making them more vulnerable to fraud. SA Paniwozik warns, "Whether you want to transfer $1, millions of dollars, or billions of dollars, there is no limit. You can seamlessly transfer it from a wallet controlled in the United States to one controlled overseas in just a few seconds. Scammers have set up their own cryptocurrency exchanges, making you believe that your investment is growing exponentially, or they say you must pay cryptocurrency to 'unlock' a job that provides high returns."
