Elon Musk Becomes World's First Person to Become $400 Billion

Billionaire Elon Musk's fortune surpassed $400 billion on Wednesday for the first time ever, cementing his position as the world's richest person and becoming the first person to reach this level.

SpaceX stock sales boosted Musk's net worth by $50 billion to $439.2 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

This comes after SpaceX agreed to buy $1.25 billion in employee stock, a deal that valued the privately held space exploration company at $350 billion, making it the world's most valuable private startup.

While Tesla's stock has risen by about 65% since before the US presidential election, the value of artificial intelligence startup XAI has doubled to $50 billion.
