EigenLayer has announced that the "Rewards v2" protocol upgrade is officially active on Testnet, introducing significant improvements in the reward mechanism of the system. This upgrade aims to enhance flexibility, efficiency, and customization within the EigenLayer ecosystem, particularly for Active Validator Services (AVSs) and stakers.
Mainnet is expected to launch in January 2025, after successful testing.
