If crypto needs any more evidence of a bull market, Anthony Scaramucci has good news.
The founder and managing partner of SkyBridge Capital has ordered a new Lambo.
He’s upgrading his 2022 luxury sports car to the 2026 model because the crypto markets are soaring, he told DL News.
“I’m a nouveau riche Italian from Long Island. I grew up with no money,” he said, sipping coffee in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in Abu Dhabi. “My life’s dream is to have a Lamborghini.”
And perhaps the Wall Street veteran is feeling less frugal because he’s optimistic that this current bull market will have staying power under a more friendly Congress.
“I talked to Gillibrand. I talked to Schumer,” said Scaramucci, referring to Democratic senators Kirsten and Chuck, respectively, from New York. “Yeah, the Democrats have woken up.”
Crypto for Harris
Among the crypto cognoscenti, Scaramucci is one of the most vocal anti-Trumpers.
The Bitcoin bull began his career at Goldman Sachs but made his name when he founded SkyBridge Capital, an alternative assets investment firm, in 2005.
A brash-talking financier, he landed a job in Donald Trump’s first administration in 2017 as the White House’s communications director.
However, his tenure was short-lived. After only 10 days in the position, he was fired when former New Yorker writer Ryan Lizza published an expletive-laden interview with the Wall Street executive.
Scaramucci moved on from politics, and, in 2020, dove into crypto. He soon became a prominent booster of Sam Bankman-Fried.
The Wall Street veteran has since disavowed the former FTX CEO and is battling a clawback lawsuit from the FTX estate.
Scaramucci has also turned on Trump.
“He should not be the president,” Scaramucci told DL News. “He’s also not emotionally stable. He’s going to create a lot of unnecessary problems.”
Trump, though, has attracted widespread support — and cash — from the crypto industry.

Crypto luminaries like Kraken founder Jesse Powell as well as Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, co-founders of the crypto exchange Gemini, rallied behind the former president over the summer.
In response, Scaramucci, billionaire Mark Cuban, and a few other prominent crypto converts backchanneled with the Democrats to flesh out vice president Kamala Harris’ position on crypto.
“The worst thing that can happen to crypto — and you can write this down and put it into your story — is that it’s Trump only,” Scaramucci told DL News.
“President Trump will deliver on his promise to encourage American leadership in crypto and other emerging technologies,” Brian Hughes, a spokesperson for Trump, said in response to Scaramucci’s criticism.
‘Crypto cash’
Harris may have lost her bid for the presidency, but Democrats have learned their lesson, Scaramucci said.
The crypto industry spent more than $130 million to back pro-crypto candidates during the 2024 elections.
In Ohio, incumbent Senator Sherrod Brown lost out to blockchain booster Bernie Moreno, who received more than $40 million in funding from the crypto industry.
And 278 pro-crypto candidates won election in the House of Representatives, according to crypto lobby group Stand With Crypto.
“You’re going to have positive pro-crypto legislation this term, because Democrats got their asses kicked by the crypto industry in the last election,” Scaramucci said. “They don’t want that to happen again.”
He said he talks often with Gillibrand and Schumer as well as Representatives Ro Khanna and Ritchie Torres.
Neither Gillibrand, Schumer, Khanna, nor Torres immediately responded to a request for comment.
“All those guys are saying the same thing, ‘What the fuck, man? I don’t want the crypto cash coming after my seat,’” Scaramucci said.
‘Why would I fucking sell my Bitcoin?’

In the past congressional term, US stablecoin legislation looked like it had bipartisan support, even though it never made it past the finish line.
Similarly, the repeal of SAB 121, or regulatory guidance from the Securities and Exchange Commission that banks argue prevents them from custodying crypto, passed Congress.
However, President Biden vetoed the bill.
In the coming congressional term, stablecoin and crypto custody legislation will finally get across the finish line, Scaramucci predicted.
Scaramucci HODLs
For the SkyBridge founder, the political moment is a double-edged sword.
Trump, a candidate whom he’s repeatedly railed against, has won reelection. But crypto, an asset class he’s repeatedly boosted, has soared after the GOP swept the 2024 elections.
And Scaramucci’s not cashing out of his position — even for a Lambo. When asked whether he paid for his 2026 sports car with Bitcoin, he scoffed.
“Why would I fucking sell my Bitcoin?”
