BlockBeats reported that on December 12, one of the world's most cited scientific journals (Nature) just covered ResearchHub. In an article on December 11, (Nature) introduced ResearchHub's platform, which pays independent peer reviewers of new research papers the equivalent of $150 in cryptocurrency.

Nature pointed out in its article that this also proves to be an economic opportunity for some—particularly mentioning Pedro Paulo Gattai Gomes, a molecular biology advisor in São Paulo. He stated that he now earns more from reviewing papers for ResearchHub than he did while working as a professor at an academic institution.

The scientist said he reviews an average of 15 papers each month, earning ResearchHub's ResearchCoin (RSC) tokens worth $150 for each review. He told the journal: 'Paid reviews are just, because it seems to me that unpaid work without even a word of thanks is very unfair.'

According to market data, RSC has risen nearly 20% in 24 hours, currently priced at $1.00.
